Competition

Competitions will take place in venues carefully selected to provide the best possible conditions for athletes and spectators alike. Each site reflects the host country’s commitment to university sport, offering high-quality facilities in a setting designed for international events.

Competition format

The FISU Championship Triathlon competitions shall be run in accordance with the most recent technical rules of World Triathlon, unless otherwise stated. In case of dispute in the interpretation of the rules, the English text shall be regarded as authoritative.


A maximum of 70 athletes per gender will be accepted, to take part in the 2 days programme as follows:
► Day 1: Men’s & Women’s Individual Races on a Sprint distance
► Day 2: Mixed Team Relay on a Super Sprint distance

Each year, it welcomes more than 10,000 participants and spectators during the Nyon Triathlon, making it one of Switzerland’s most dynamic multisport venues. With its modern infrastructure, lakeside swimming area, and scenic surroundings facing the Alps, Colovray offers an exceptional environment for both athletes and fans.

Competition schedule

Individual Race – Saturday 8th August
► Swim: 750 m
► Bike: 21 km
► Run: 5 km

Mixed Relay – Sunday 9th August
► Swim: 250 m
► Bike: 6 km
► Run: 1.8 km


The swim course is held in a freshwater lake, with an in-water start. The bike course will take place on roads closed to traffic, going through the countryside, and includes a variety of uphill and downhill profiles. The run course is held on paved roads closed to traffic, with a rather flat profile.
